Opening Whistle
Cleveland State concludes its three-game road swing to open the year with former ASUN foe Bellarmine at noon at Owsley B. Frazier Stadium.
 
Last Game Out
The Vikings fell in the battle of Ohio to No. 10 Ohio State 17-7 on Saturday afternoon. OSU opened the scoring before Brennen Hickey and Landon Whalen scored back-to-back goals to take a 2-1 lead with 10:39 remaining in the first quarter. Cleveland State went on to lead 4-2 at the end of the first before trailing 6-5 at halftime.
 
The Buckeyes stretched the advantage to 12-6 at the end of the third before winning 17-7. Hickey finished with four points on three goals and an assist. Alex Long and Whalen each had two points in the game.
 
About Bellarmine
Bellarmine will be playing its first home game after going 1-2 on the road to start the season. The Knights are coming off an 11-6 loss at No. 10 Ohio State on Tuesday. Their lone win was against NEC member Mercyhurst, 17-9.
 
John Alie and Ezra Moore are both tied for a team-best 12 points. The Alie brothers each have seven goals to lead the way, while Moore has a team-best seven assists. Niko Madden has won 31 faceoffs and has 17 ground balls. Nolan Hudnut has played every minute in goal, accumulating 44 saves.

The series is deadlocked at five apiece but favors Cleveland State in home games, 3-1. The Vikings have won two straight by scores of 15-12 in the ASUN Quarterfinals and 16-10 on Krenzler Field.
