Cleveland State dropped its 2026 season opener at Denver on Saturday, 20-1. Will Adair netted the lone goal for the Green and White to open the fourth quarter.
 
Justin Dalum started in goal, playing in the first half, accumulating four saves. Oliver Vanyo made three saves in the second half.
 
About Ohio State
The Buckeyes are the tenth-ranked team in the country and opened the season with a 19-3 win over Detroit Mercy at home on Saturday.  Alex Marinier led the attack with four goals, while Liam White and Russell Melendez each finished with hat-tricks. Cullen Brown was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week after forcing three turnovers and picking up three ground balls.

Ohio State is 7-0, with all the games occurring in Columbus. In the 2025 season opener, the Vikings fell 14-4.

• Justin Dalum is fourth in career saves with 211, trailing Cameron Logan's mark of 328.

NEC Preseason Poll

• Robert Morris was picked to win the NEC after receiving six first-place votes.
• LIU received the other two first-place tallies to put them in second.
• Cleveland State came in the sixth slot.
