Cleveland State Men's Basketball Brings In Derek Vorst

Derek Vorst, a 6-10 center from Luckey, Ohio, becomes the seventh member of the Cleveland State basketball incoming class. Vorst spent his first three seasons at Indiana State University.

Vorst appeared in 59 games over his time with 15 starts, averaging 12.7 minutes per game. The center averaged 4.7 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.0 assist per game. In his time, he reached double-figure points in eleven games with a career-best 17 against Bradley in his senior year. Also in that game, Vorst pulled down a career-best eleven rebounds for his lone double-double.

Vorst has brought in numerous honors during his time at Rossford High School, including Northwest Ohio First Team, All-Ohio Special Mention, Northern Buckeye First Team, District 7 Coaches Association First Team, and District 7 Coaches Association First Team honors.
