INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Following a 2-0 week to close out regular season play, Cleveland State graduate student
Izabella Zingaro has been recognized as the Horizon League Player of the Week. This marks the second weekly honor for Zingaro this season, while it is the fourth accolade for the Vikings.
Last time out, Zingaro and the Vikings picked up wins over Wright State and Oakland, closing out regular season play with a 23-8 overall record and a 13-7 mark in #HLWBB play. The two wins last week also clinched the No. 3 seed for Cleveland State in the upcoming Horizon League Tournament.
For the week, Zingaro averaged 27.5 points per game while shooting 80-percent from the field, notching back-to-back 20-point performances.
Zingaro tallied a career-high 29 points at Wright State on a .818 clip from the field (9-for-11), while she followed that up with 26 points against Oakland shooting 78-percent from the floor (11-for-14).
In addition, Zingaro also went 15-for-20 from the free throw line on the week, while adding 11 rebounds.
