INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Horizon League announced the 2025-26 Women's Basketball All-Academic Team Thursday, with Cleveland State graduate student
Colbi Maples earning a spot on the five-member team. This marks the fourth straight season that a Viking has been named to the All-Academic Team, while Maples is just the fourth Viking all-time to earn the recognition.
Maples, who graduated Magna Cum Laude last spring with a degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, is currently pursuing a master's in business administration, holding a 3.78 grade point average.
On the court, Maples has led the Vikings to their fifth straight 20-win season, averaging 15.0 points and 2.1 assists per game. Among Horizon League players, Maples ranks third in scoring, while she is one of just five players with 400+ points on the season.
Earlier this year, Maples recorded her 1,000
th point at Cleveland State after playing in just two complete seasons, helping the Vikings to 50+ wins during this stretch.
During her Cleveland State career, Maples has been named the #HLWBB Player of the Year, Preseason Player of the Year, First Team All-League, and helped the Vikings capture their first-ever #HLWBB Regular Season championship.
