Izabella Zingaro has been named the Horizon League Player of the Week. This marks the first weekly honor for Zingaro and the third for the Vikings this season.
Last time out, Zingaro and the Vikings went 2-0, picking up an 83-82 overtime win against Green Bay and a 57-52 win at Robert Morris. With the two wins, the Vikings reached the 20-win milestone for the fifth straight season.
For the week, Zingaro averaged a double-double with 18.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game, tallying back-to-back double-doubles to extend her current streak to six straight double-doubles.
Against Green Bay, Zingaro finished with 23 points and 11 rebounds, marking her eighth 20-point game of the season, while she tallied 14 points and 10 rebounds at RMU.
In the overtime win against Green Bay, Zingaro recorded five points and three rebounds playing all five minutes of the extra period, while she went 14-for-16 from the free throw line on the contest.
In addition, Zingaro also added six assists, two steals and two blocked shots on the week.
For the season, Zingaro ranks second among league players averaging 16.2 points per game, while she ranks fourth averaging 7.3 rebounds per contest.
