The Cleveland State women's basketball team will hit the road for two games this week, beginning with a 6:00 p.m. contest at Northern Kentucky on Wednesday, February 12. Entering Wednesday's contest, the Vikings stand at 20-5 overall this season and 11-3 in Horizon League play, while Northern Kentucky is currently 9-15 on the year and 6-8 in league action.Â

THE CLEVELAND STATE/NORTHERN KENTUCKY SERIES
Wednesday's game will be the 23rd meeting between the two teams, with Cleveland State holding a 17-5 edge in the all-time series, including a 11-1 record for the Vikings over the last 12 matchups. Earlier this season, Cleveland State picked up a 67-54 victory over the Norse in the #HLWBB opener.Â

Cleveland State enters Wednesday's contest with an 11-3 record in Horizon League play this season, currently sitting in third place in the #HLWBB standings. Entering the 10th week of league action, the Vikings are one of just three teams with 11+ #HLWBB wins on the year.
CLEVELAND STATE RECORDS 20-WIN SEASON
With Saturday's 79-58 victory over Oakland the Vikings notched their 20th win of the 2024-25 campaign, marking the fourth straight 20-win season and the fifth over the last six years. Cleveland State became the third #HLWBB team to reach the 20-win plateau this season, while it marks the first time in program history that the Vikings have recorded four consecutive 20-win campaigns.
LEO NOTCHES FIRST 20-POINT GAME OF 2024-25 SEASON
Last time out,
Destiny Leo finished with a game-high 20 points, marking her first 20-point game of the season. Leo, who tallied her 20 points on five three-pointers and a perfect 5-for-5 effort from the free throw line, is now averaging 11.1 points per game, while shooting 42-percent from the field. Entering Wednesday's game at NKU, Leo currently ranks fourth on the CSU Scoring List with 1,834 career points, needing just six points to move into a tie for third place on the list.Â

So far this season,
Destiny Leo has been one of the best three-point shooters in the Horizon League, recording 69 total three-pointers through 25 games played. For the season, Leo is shooting at a .445 clip from behind-the-arc, ranking second among league players. For her career, Leo has a CSU Program Record 293 three-pointers made, while she also sits at the top of the CSU Record Book with a .398 clip from behind-the-arc.Â
VIKINGS WITH THE ASSIST
Last time out, Cleveland State recorded 20 assists on 28 made field goals, marking the fifth time this season that the Vikings have tallied 20 or more helpers in a single game. For the season, the Vikings are averaging 16.28 assists per game, ranking second among Horizon League teams. Individually,

REISMA EFFICIENT FROM THE FIELD
Jordana Reisma continues to be one of the most efficient shooters among Division I players, entering Wednesday's contest at Northern Kentucky with a .684 field goal percentage on the year. Reisma, who currently ranks second among all Division I players in field goal percentage, is shooting 145-for-212 on the year, while she currently sits at the top of the CSU Career Record Book with a .598 clip (367-613) for her career.Â
GUERREIRO AMONG #HLWBB LEADERS
Entering the week,
Sara Guerreiro continues to be one of the best all-around players in the Horizon League, ranking in the top-five in rebounding, assists and assist to turnover ratio. Guerreiro currently ranks second in the league averaging 7.7 rebounds per game, while ranking third with 4.4 assists per game and a 2.3 assist/turnover ratio. In addition, Guerreiro also ranks 18th averaging 10.7 points per game. Through 25 games played, Guerreiro leads the Vikings with 193 total boards and 110 total assists.
PERDUE AMONG NCAA SCORING LEADERS
After finishing with 14 points against Oakland last time out,
Mickayla Perdue now has 500+ points on the season, entering Wednesday's game ranked 13th nationally with 501 total points. Through 25 games played, Perdue is averaging a league-best 20.0 points per game, and has tallied 12 20-point games, including three 30-point performances - both of which lead all #HLWBB players.Â
CLEVELAND STATE FROM THE FREE THROW LINE
Through 25 games played this season, the Vikings rank fifth nationally averaging 17.12 free throws made per game. For the season, Cleveland State has converted a league-best 428 free throws, including 20+ free throws during six games this year. Against Detroit Mercy last week, the Vikings went 19-for-22 from the free throw line (.864), marking the fifth straight time that Cleveland State shot 85-percent or better.Â

As a team, Cleveland State has had one of the more efficient offenses this season, leading the Horizon League and ranking eighth among Division I teams with a .482 clip from the field on the year. The Vikings have shot 50-percent or better during nine games so far this season, including four times during #HLWBB play (at Wright State, at Detroit Mercy, at Milwaukee, Oakland). Last time out, the Vikings posted a .651 clip from the field, marking the second time this season that CSU has shot at 60-percent or better from the field. HEAD COACH CHRIS KIELSMEIER
The Vikings will be under the direction of seventh-year head coach
Chris Kielsmeier, who currently owns a career head coaching record of 561-180. At Cleveland State, Kielsmeier owns a record of 145-64, with his 100th victory as a Viking coming in a 95-41 decision over Chicago State last season. Under his guidance, Cleveland State has posted four 20-win seasons, including a program-record 30 wins during the 2023-24 campaign.
