CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland State women's basketball head coach Bob Dunn announced the addition of Willoughby Hills native Alexa Hocevar to the 2026-27 roster.
Hocevar, a 6-foot-1 guard from Willoughby Hills, Ohio, comes to Cleveland State following stops at IU Indy and Toledo. Most recently, Hocevar played in 26 games at Toledo, helping the Rockets to a MAC Championship game appearance during her junior season. While at Toledo, Hocevar averaged 2.9 points and 2.5 rebounds per game.
Prior to Toledo, Hocevar played two seasons at IU Indy appearing in 54 games, averaging 8.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.5 steals per game as a sophomore.
Hocevar played her high school basketball at West Geauga, earning Conference MVP honors along with First Team All-District accolades as a 1,000-point scorer.
Hocevar's parents, Brian and Evanthia, both graduated from Cleveland State University, while her father was part of the men's basketball team from 1995-98.
