CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State volleyball team will close out its current five-match homestand this weekend, hosting IU Indy on Friday, October 31 and Saturday, November 1.

Entering the weekend, the Vikings have won four of their last five outings, including a 3-1 victory over Oakland in a midweek matchup on Tuesday evening.

The current five-match homestand is the longest of the season for the Vikings, while they will also close out the regular season in Woodling Gymnasium two weeks from now when they host Milwaukee in a weekend series (November 14-15).

Laken Voss enters the weekend closing in on becoming the seventh Viking in program history to record 1,000 career kills and 1,000 career digs, currently sitting at 1,157 kills and 998 digs. Voss, who eclipsed the 1,000-kill mark earlier this year, has notched seven double-doubles on the year, including four over the last six matches.

Last time out,
Vayda Delventhal tallied her fourth 20-dig performance of the season, posting a career-best 25 digs against Oakland. Delventhal, who has played the entire season as Cleveland State's libero, currently ranks fourth among league players averaging 4.59 digs per set.

Voss, along with
Bryn VanVleet and
Julia Jozefov have led the Cleveland State offense this season, combining for 561 total kills – which represents more than 65-percent of the Vikings' total offense. Jozefov finished with 12 kills against Oakland earlier this week, marking her second double-digit kill performance of the season and a career-high for the sophomore.

Looking Ahead…
The Vikings will hit the road next weekend, making the short trip to Youngstown State for a pair of matches on Friday, November 7 and Saturday, November 8.
