ENTERING THE WEEKEND…
Cleveland State will look to extend its current two-match win streak…The Vikings will be opening a five-match homestand…Cleveland State will be looking for its second and third win at home this season.

…LAST TIME OUT
The Vikings picked up their first #HLVB wins of the year, picking up a series sweep at Purdue Fort Wayne. The Vikings earned a five-set victory on Friday, before picking up a 3-0 sweep in the weekend finale. Friday's 3-2 victory marked the first five-set match of the season for Cleveland State.

SCOUTING THE COLONIALS
This weekend's matches will be the 41st and 42nd meetings between Cleveland State and Robert Morris, with the Vikings owning a commanding 38-2 record in the all-time series. Last year, Cleveland State went 2-0 in the series, and has now won 13 out of the last 14 matchups against the Colonials.

HOME-SWEET-HOME
Friday's match against Robert Morris will mark the first of five straight home matches for the Vikings, with the five-match homestand marking the longest of the season. Cleveland State last played at Woodling Gymnasium on October 3 and 4, with the Vikings' last win inside Woodling coming on September 18 when they hosted Kent State.

KOEHLER ECLIPSES 200 CAREER BLOCKS
Last time out, junior JeriLynn Koehler eclipsed 200 career blocks, entering the Robert Morris series with 210 total blocks on her career. Koehler, who is averaging a team-best 0.85 blocks per set this season, has combined for 167 block assists and 43 block solos through her three seasons at CSU. Koehler recorded her first double-digit blocking effort at Purdue Fort Wayne last weekend, finishing with 11 blocks in Friday's five-set victory, marking the highest single-match total in #HLVB matches this season.

VOSS CLOSING IN ON 1,000 CAREER DIGS
After averaging 3.63 digs per set in a pair of wins at Purdue Fort Wayne last weekend, Laken Voss is closing in on 1,000 career digs, entering Friday's match with 969 total digs. Voss ranks second on the team with 177 total digs this year, and ranks in the top-20 among Horizon League players averaging 2.68 digs per set on the year. As an all-around player, Voss recorded 1,000 career kills earlier this year, and would become just the seventh Viking in program history to reach the milestone in kills and digs, and the first since Grace Kauth in 2016.

…VOSS ON THE DOUBLE-DOUBLE
Entering the weekend, Laken Voss has recorded double-doubles in the last three matches, and has tallied six on the year. Averaging 3.03 kills and 2.68 digs per set this season, Voss ranks in the top-20 among Horizon League players in both catgories, and is one of just four league players to average 3.00+ kills and 2.50+ digs on the year.

DELVENTHAL AMONG #HLVB PLAYERS
Entering the weekend, sophomore libero Vayda Delventhal continues to be one of the top defensive players in the Horizon League, ranking fifth averaging 4.45 digs per set on the year. Delventhal, who has posted a trio of 20-dig performances so far this season, is one of a handful of #HLVB players who have recorded multiple 20-dig matches on the year.

#HLVB PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS
So far this season the Vikings have been honored once by the Horizon League, as Vayda Delventhal was named one of the #HLVB Players of the Week on September 15. Delventhal earned the honor after being named to the Wolfpack Invitational All-Tournament Team, combining for 56 digs on the weekend including a pair of 20-dig efforts against Coastal Carolina and Duke.

TOUGH NON-LEAGUE SLATE
Cleveland State started the 2025 season with a tough non-league slate, facing a trio of Power Four opponents and another four opponents from Group of Five conferences. This marked the toughest non-league slate for the Vikings since the 2019 season, when they faced five Power Four opponents.

…POWER FOUR VICTORY
Earlier this year, the Vikings picked up their first win of the season in dramatic fashion, earning a 3-1 victory over Power Four opponent Duke at the Wolfpack Invitational. Cleveland State has now picked up a Power Four win in each of the last two seasons after defeating Virginia Tech during the 2024 campaign.

HEAD COACH CHUCK VOSS
Chuck Voss is in his 26th season at the helm of the Vikings, and owns a 434-319 (.576) overall record at Cleveland State. Under Voss the Vikings have recorded 19 winning seasons, including a streak of 10 straight from 2009-2018. Cleveland State has eclipsed the 20-win mark nine times since Voss took over the program, and has captured Horizon League Tournament titles six times under his guidance.

LOOKING AHEAD
Cleveland State will host Oaland in a midweek matchup on Tuesday, October 28, with first serve set for 6:00 p.m. inside Woodling Gymnasium.
