KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Cleveland State men's tennis team opened its 2024 fall campaign Friday, with a handful of Vikings in action at the WMU Invite.
Cleveland State doubles teams went 4-0 on the day, with the duos of
Cole Chappell/
Maxime Aremon and
Nico Jamison/
Carl Gedlitschka both picking up two wins on Friday.
In addition, the Vikings picked up a trio of singles wins, including Aremon earning a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Western Michigan for his first collegiate win.
Also picking up singles wins on the day were
Ty Rothchild (6-2, 6-2) and Jamison (6-1, 6-4).
Play at the WMU Invite will conclude tomorrow, while
Lincoln Battle will also get underway at the ITA All-American Championships.
