INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – After helping the Cleveland State women's basketball team to a 2-0 weekend at the Big Easy Classic,
Mickayla Perdue has been named the Horizon League Player of the Week. This marks the first weekly honor for the Vikings this season, and the third time that Perdue has been recognized by the league over the last two seasons.
Last time out, Perdue and the Vikings picked up back-to-back wins over Louisiana (60-42) and Lamar (79-52), improving to 5-2 to start the 2024-25 campaign.
Perdue was named to the Big Easy Classic All-Tournament Team after averaging 17.5 points per game on a .464 field goal percentage, while combining for nine assists and four steals on the week.
Against Lamar, Perdue finished with a team-best 26 points on a .526 clip (10-19), marking her fifth 20-point game of the season. So far this year, Perdue is the only #HLWBB player averaging 20.0+ points per game, while she ranks seventh nationally averaging 22.7 points per game on the year.
Through the first four weeks of the 2024-25 season, Perdue also ranks in the top-five among league players in field goal percentage (5
