THE CLEVELAND STATE/BOWLING GREEN SERIES
Tuesday's game will be the 17th meeting between the two teams, with Bowling Green owning an 11-5 edge in the all-time series. The two teams have met just once over the last five seasons, with the Falcons picking up an 89-86 victory in last year's season opener.

2023-24 #HLWBB REGULAR SEASON CHAMPIONSHIP RECOGNITION
Prior to Tuesday's game, the Vikings will be unveiling their 2023-24 Horizon League Regular Season Championship banner, recognizing the first regular season title in program history. Last year, Cleveland State posted a program-best 18-2 regular season record in league play en route to capturing the regular season championship. Fans are encouraged to be in their seats by 6:40 p.m. to watch the unveiling.

HOME-SWEET-HOME
Tuesday's game will mark the first of 13 home games for the Vikings during the 2024-25 season, and one of just three non-league home games on the year. Dating back to February 2, 2023 the Vikings have won 23 consecutive games at home, and own a 22-3 mark in non-league home games under head coach

VIKINGS ECLIPSE 100-POINT MARK
The Vikings recorded the 16th 100-point game in program history last time out, finishing with 111 points at Chicago State. This marked the first 100-point game since the 2022-23 season, while it puts Cleveland State at 14-2 all-time when scoring 100+ points.

REISMA ON THE BLOCK
After finishing Saturday's game at Chicago State with three blocked shots,
Jordana Reisma moved into a tie for ninth place in the CSU Career Record Book with 81 career blocks. Reisma, who is one of just 10 Vikings all-time with 80+ blocks on their career, has tallied at least one block in both games this season and ranks fifth among Horizon League players averaging 2.0 blocks per game.

PERDUE TIES CAREER-HIGH AT CHICAGO STATE
Mickayla Perdue recorded her second straight 20-point game of the season in the win at Chicago State last time out, finishing with a career-high tying 31 points against the Cougars. Perdue, who is averaging 30.0 points per game through the first week of 2024-25, posted a .578 field goal percentage at Chicago State, including five three-pointers.

…PERDUE IN THE NATIONAL RANKS
Mickayla Perdue enters the second week of the 2024-25 campaign ranked second nationally averaging 30.0 points per game, trailing only Jaloni Cambridge of Ohio State (31.0 ppg). Perdue is one of just two players in Division I to be averaging 30.0+ points per game through the first week of action, while her 60 total points ranks her sixth overall, but first among players who have only played two games.

VIKING DUO NOTCHES DOUBLE-DOUBLES AT CHICAGO STATE
Last time out,
Sara Guerreiro and
Destiny Leo both recorded double-doubles in the win at Chicago State, Guerreiro with 14 points and a career-high 13 rebounds and Leo with 16 points and 11 boards. This marked the fourth double-double for Guerreiro during her time as a Viking, while it was just the second of Leo's career. For the season, Guerreiro is now averaging a double-double with 14.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game, while Leo is one of four Vikings to be averaging double-digit points at 12.0 points per game through the first week of play.

LEO CLOSING IN ON CSU CAREER THREE-POINT RECORD
After converting five three-pointers through the first two games played,
Destiny Leo is closing in on the Cleveland State career three-point record, entering Tuesday's game with 229 career three-pointers. With just four more shots from behind-the-arc Leo would tie the current record of 233 held by Khayla Livingston (2013-18), while five more three-pointers would put her in sole possession of the record. In addition, Leo remains at the top of the CSU Career Three-Point Field Goal Percentage list, shooting 38.6-percent from behind-the-arc on her career.

Entering the season, Cleveland State was receiving votes in the WBCA Top-25 Coaches Poll, while the Vikings also began the year ranked eighth in the College Insider Women's Mid-Major Top-25 Poll.

CLEVELAND STATE SELECTED AS #HLWBB PRESEASON FAVORITES
Last month, the Vikings were selected as the preseason favorite to win the Horizon League, picking up 117 points and seven first place votes. This marked the first time in program history that Cleveland State was selected as the preseason favorite, while it marked the fourth time that they were ranked in the top-two heading into a season.

THREE EARN #HLWBB PRESEASON HONORS
The trio of
Destiny Leo,
Colbi Maples and
Mickayla Perdue picked up preseason honors from the Horizon League, with Maples being named the #HLWBB Preseason Player of the Year and Leo and Perdue both earning a spot on the Preseason First Team. This marks the third straight year that the Vikings have earned #HLWBB Preseason Player of the Year honors, with Maples becoming the fifth Viking all-time to earn the honor.

HEAD COACH CHRIS KIELSMEIER
The Vikings will be under the direction of seventh-year head coach
Chris Kielsmeier, who currently owns a career head coaching record of 542-177. At Cleveland State, Kielsmeier owns a record of 126-61, with his 100th victory as a Viking coming in a 95-41 decision over Chicago State last season. Under his guidance, Cleveland State has posted four 20-win seasons, including a program-record 30 wins during the 2023-24 campaign.

...KIELSMEIER NAMED TO PRESEASON WATCH LIST
Chris Kielsmeier was named to the Kathy Delaney-Smith Mid-Major Coach of the Year Preseason Watch List last month – one of 20 coaches to earn the recognition, and the only coach from the Horizon League. Under Kielsmeier, the Vikings have advanced to the Horizon League Championship game three straight years, and have made four consecutive postseason appearances.
