EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Cleveland State men's tennis team continued play at the ITA Midwest Regional Friday, with the doubles team of Lincoln Battle and Carl Gedlitschka picking up a first round win.

Battle and Gedlitschka posted an 8-4 victory over a Wisconsin tandem in their first round matchup, before dropping an 8-7(2) decision against a duo from Notre Dame in the second round.

Battle also made his debut in the Main Singles Draw, dropping a 6-4, 6-4 contest against Max Sheldon of Michigan State. In addition, Cole Chappell made his appearance in the Main Singles Draw after picking up a pair of qualifying draw wins yesterday, dropping a 6-3, 7-6(4) decision against Wisconsin's Collin Beduhn.

In consolation play, Gedlistchka picked up a 7-6(6), 7-6(2) victory, while Maxime Aremon (6-4, 6-1) and Nico Jamison (7-5, 6-4) also picked up straight set victories.
