Postgame Player Notes

Senior Guard Shawnita Garland
l Scored 23 points, her ninth career 20 point game and second this season.
l Moved into 16th place on the all-time scoring list at CSU and now has 1,109 career points.
l Made five steals to move past Sue Koziol and into fourth place on the all-time steals list at CSU. She now has 266 for her career.
l Played all 40 minutes for the 10th time this season.

Junior Guard Takima Keane
l Followed up her career-high 20 point effort at Loyola on Sunday with 18 points today.
l Made 7-of-9 from the field, including three of her five three point attempts.
l Is averaging 12.3 points per game since being inserted into the starting lineup seven games ago.
l Missed her second free throw attempt after a technical foul on the Milwaukee bench, snapping her streak of consecutive made free throws at 19 straight.

Junior Guard Janelle Adams
l Neared a triple-double, finishing with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists.
l The 10 assists represented a career high, bettering her old high of six (at Green Bay; 3/12/10).

Sophomore Forward Shalonda Winton
l Recorded her team-leading sixth double-double of the season with 13 points and 12 rebounds.
l Was her second straight double-double and seventh of her career.
l Hit 7-of-9 from the free throw line.

Miscellaneous Notes
l Tonight's game was the 39th all-time meeting between the two schools. Milwaukee leads the series, 20-19, but the Vikings have now won six of the last seven contests.
l The win extended CSU's home win streak to nine straight, tying the school record for most consecutive home wins. The 1981-82 team won its final home game and the 1982-83 team went a perfect 8-0.
l The win was the 66th in the career of Shawnita Garland, just seven shy of breaking the school record of 72 wins by the 1983-84 seniors.
l CSU improved to 6-0 at home this season.
l The Vikings committed a season low 12 turnovers. The old low was 14 at Marshall and at UIC.
l CSU forced Milwaukee into 24 turnovers that the Vikings turned into 30 points.
l The Vikings made a season-high 29 points, going 29-of-66 (.439) from the field.
l CSU kept up its hot shooting from three point, going 6-for-17 (.353).
l After shooting .577 (15-26) from the floor in the first half, UWM was just 7-for-26 (.269) in the second half.
