CLEVELAND - Monday night's game in the Wolstein Center was a bittersweet affair for Cleveland State. On one hand, the Vikings set an NCAA record by connecting on a three-pointer in their 395th straight game, but CSU still fell to St. Bonaventure by a 56-43 margin. The loss drops the Vikings to 2-7 on the year while the Bonnies leveled their record at 4-4.

Louisville previously held the NCAA mark at 394 games, with that streak coming to an end on Jan. 8, 2005 at South Florida. The last time that CSU failed to drain a triple was on Dec. 17, 1992 against Cincinnati. The Vikings have made 2,322 three-pointers during the skein.

Cleveland State trailed 20-8 12 minutes into the game after opening the contest 3-for-16 from the floor with five turnovers. However, the Vikings turned the tables over the closing eight minutes of the half, shooting 7-for-14 from the floor to fuel a 16-6 run that knotted the score at 26-26 heading into the locker room.

After trading baskets for the first five minutes of the second half, the Bonnies went on an 11-1 run to open up a 13-point advantage (46-33) with 8:57 left to play. CSU could get no closer than 11 the rest of the way as it shot just 19.2 percent (5-26) in the final 20 minutes.

"Our performance tonight was effected by how poorly we shot the ball," CSU head coach Kate Peterson said. "We're a team that relies on emotion and tonight our energy just wasn't there. I thought we were getting good looks, but we just weren't knocking them down. The three-point record is a nice thing, but I would have much rather have had the win."

Brittany Korth led the Vikings with 13 points, including the record-setting three-pointer at the 2:34 mark of the first half. Kailey Klein chipped in with a career-high nine points and three rebounds.

St. Bonaventure's Audrey Latendresse led all players with 22 points and 10 rebounds for her second double-double of the season.

The Bonnies shot 45.2 percent from the floor (19-42) while limiting CSU to a 26.8 percent mark (15-56) -- the team's lowest total since a 26.2 percent effort (17-65) on Nov. 21, 2004 at Iowa State.

The Vikings return to action on Thursday (Dec. 7) when they travel to Kalamazoo, Mich. for a 7:00 p.m. game at Western Michigan.
