Entering the final game, the Green and White have a chance to finish in the second seed with a victory over LIU. With a loss, the Vikings would be the third seed and rematch with LIU in the semifinals.
 
Fantastic Freshman Week
Landon Whalen was named the NEC Player and Freshman of the Week after putting up six points on four goals and two assists in the home finale against Le Moyne. The Hilliard, Ohio, native has 15 goals and eight assists for 23 points on the year.
 
Last Game Out
The Vikings concluded home play with a 13-10 win over Le Moyne under the lights on Friday night. Both teams netted two goals in the first quarter before Cleveland State used a 4-2 advantage in the second to lead 6-4 at halftime. Le Moyne outscored the Vikings 3-2 in the third to get within one, but a strong 5-3 fourth propelled the Vikes to the win.
 
Robbie Stewart went 12-of-22 in the faceoff circle with a game-best nine ground balls. Seth Alejandrino forced five turnovers and scooped up five ground balls.
 
About the Sharks
LIU heads into the finale with a 9-3 overall record and a 4-2 mark in conference games. The Sharks have lost two straight games but have been tough to beat at home with a 5-1 record. Ben McIsaac paces the team in goals with 34 and Aidan Zuhoski is close behind with 29. Cameron Connolly tops the team in assists with 14.
 
Shaun Hill is 138-of-230 in the faceoff circle with a team-best 71 ground balls. Kyle Cochran has forced 17 turnovers to lead the backline. Tyler Gresh has started ten games in goal, racking up 76 saves. Brayden Wilcken started the previous game at RMU, finishing with 12 saves and had a season-best 16 saves against Rutgers on Feb. 24.

This will be the second-ever meeting with LIU winning last season on Krenzler Field, 15-7.
