Landon Whalen was named the NEC Player and Freshman of the Week after putting up six points on four goals and two assists in the home finale against Le Moyne. The Hilliard, Ohio, native has 15 goals and eight assists for 23 points on the year.

The Vikings concluded home play with a 13-10 win over Le Moyne under the lights on Friday night. Both teams netted two goals in the first quarter before Cleveland State used a 4-2 advantage in the second to lead 6-4 at halftime. Le Moyne outscored the Vikings 3-2 in the third to get within one, but a strong 5-3 fourth propelled the Vikes to the win.

About the Sharks
LIU heads into the finale with a 9-3 overall record and a 4-2 mark in conference games. The Sharks have lost two straight games but have been tough to beat at home with a 5-1 record. Ben McIsaac paces the team in goals with 34 and Aidan Zuhoski is close behind with 29. Cameron Connolly tops the team in assists with 14.
