CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State men's tennis team opened up its final homestand of the 2026 regular season Saturday, picking up a 6-1 victory against Northern Kentucky.
The Vikings opened the match by picking up the early doubles point, with a 6-1 win from
Lincoln Battle/
Carl Gedlitschka at No. 1 doubles and a 6-2 win from
Maxime Aremon/
Tristan Stine at the No. 2 spot.
Nico Jamison then put a quick singles point on the board for the Vikings with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles, before
Cole Chappell put Cleveland State up 3-0 following a 6-1, 6-3 win at the No. 4 spot.
Cleveland State's clinching point came from Aremon at No. 5 singles then, as he earned a 6-2, 6-4 victory to put the Vikings up 4-0.
The Vikings' final two singles points of the day came from
Devin Boyer (6-3, 6-3) at No. 6 singles and Battle (6-3, 2-6, 1-0(3)) at the top of the lineup, closing out the 6-1 victory.
With his win at No. 1 singles, Battle is now 4-0 in Horizon League singles matches this spring, while Boyer and Jamison are both 3-1 after today's wins.
Cleveland State will host its final match inside the MMTP tomorrow, welcoming IU Indy for a 10:00 a.m. contest.
