CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland State men's tennis head coach
Brian Etzkin announced the addition of Emil Dapcevic to the 2026-27 roster.
A native of Bar, Montenegro, Dapcevic started his collegiate career at UIC where he was a consistent presence in the singles lineup, playing as high as No. 2 during his two seasons with the Flames.
"We are thrilled that Emil is joining the Vikings this year. We are getting an experienced college player whose tennis and leadership will make an immediate impact," head coach
Brian Etzkin said. "He'll be joining a young, hungry team and I can tell that Emil will be a great addition to our team culture."
As a freshman, Dapcevic finished with a 13-7 record during the spring season, spending most of the campaign at No. 6 singles, while he followed that up with seven singles wins as a sophomore, primarily at the No. 5 spot during dual match play.
Dapcevic also appeared sparingly in the doubles lineup, combining for a 6-6 record throughout his two seasons at UIC.
During his prep career, Dapcevic was a Junior National Champion in the U10, U12, U14, and U16 age groups, while he was also selected to represent Montenegro in the 2023 and 2026 Davis Cups.
