Last Game Out
The Vikings fell in their home opener to Marquette on Saturday, 9-7. The Golden Eagles opened the scoring before Hickey netted back-to-back goals to lead 2-1 heading into the second quarter.
Van Voorhis scored the only goal in the second quarter with four seconds left to lead 3-1 at halftime. Unassisted goals by
Layton Speer and Van Voorhis pushed the margin to 5-1 with 10:17 to go in the third quarter.
Marquette scored the next seven goals to go in front 8-5 at the 6:50 mark of the fourth quarter. Consecutive goals by Van Voorhis and
Will Adair made it a one-goal game with 1:48 to go in regulation. However, the Golden Eagles held off the run to prevail, 9-7.

Adam Van Voorhis and
Brennen Hickey each scoring six goals in that span.

About Canisius
The Griffs picked up their first win of the year on Tuesday at home against Le Moyne, 8-7. Peter Biglin and Quinn Huber each have six points with Biglin having a team-best five goals. TJ Buono and Justin Relosky are tops on the team with three assists.

Micah Hanson is 48-of-79 in the faceoff circle with a team-best 29 ground balls. Tommy Kunz has accumulated 25 saves in the cage.

This will be the eighth meeting between these two teams with the Vikings holding a 5-2 advantage. Cleveland State has won five straight, including an 11-8 win last year at home. The Green and White are 2-1 in Buffalo, winning in 2024 in double overtime, 10-9.
