SETTING THE SCENE
The Cleveland State women's basketball team will open the final two weeks of regular season play at home, hosting IU Indy on Thursday, February 19. Entering Thursday's contest, the Vikings are 20-8 on the year and 10-7 in Horizon League play, while the Jaguars are 11-14 overall and own a 7-9 record in league action.

Thursday's game will mark the 27th meeting between the two teams, with the overall series tied at 13-13. Although IU Indy picked up a win in the first meeting of the season, the Vikings have won six out of the last seven matchups.
 
SCOUTING THE JAGUARS
IU Indy enters Thursday's game with an 11-14 record on the year, including a 7-9 mark in Horizon League play…Most recently, the Jaguars dropped a 69-65 decision against Youngstown State, snapping a three-game win streak…IU Indy will be closing the season with three of its final four games on the road, and holds a 2-9 record when playing away from home this season…The Jaguars currently lead the league averaging 11.12 steals per game, while Hailey Smith, Sydney Bolden and Olivia Smith all rank in the top-10 individually…Nevaeh Foster ranks seventh among league players averaging 13.0 points per game, while Hailey Smith ranks ninth with 6.1 boards per game.

Thursday's game will be the 16th game of a 17-game home slate for the Vikings this season - a place where they own a 14-1 record so far this season. Over the last four years, the Vikings have combined for a 61-4 record when playing at home, including a perfect 17-0 record during the 2023-24 campaign.

Heading into the final two weeks of #HLWBB play, the Vikings will have home court advantage for two of the final three games, hosting IU Indy this week and Oakland in the regular season finale. Entering Thursday's contest, the Vikings have won six straight games at home.
 
VIKINGS RECORD 20-WIN CAMPAIGN
With last Saturday's 57-52 victory at Robert Morris the Vikings recorded their 20th win of the 2025-26 campaign, notching the fifth straight 20-win season and sixth over the last seven years. Cleveland State is one of just two #HLWBB teams with 20+ wins on the season, while this marks the first time in program history that the Vikings have recorded five consecutive 20-win campaigns.
 
MAPLES RECORDS 1,000^TH POINT AT CLEVELAND STATE
With a 17-point performance at Robert Morris last time out, graduate student Colbi Maples eclipsed the 1,000-point mark for her Cleveland State career. Maples, who enters Thursday's game with exactly 1,000 points as a Viking, has 1,462 total points on her career. Maples, who finished with 580 points during her first season with the Vikings (23-24), has recorded 391 points so far this season, ranking third among league players averaging 15.0 points per game.
 
ZINGARO NAMED #HLWBB PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Earlier this week, Izabella Zingaro was named the Horizon League Player of the Week, becoming the third Viking to earn the honor this season. Last week, Zingaro averaged 18.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game, helping the Vikings to back-to-back wins over Green Bay and Robert Morris. Zingaro tallied double-doubles in both contests, along with six assists, two steals and two blocked shots on the week.
 
…ZINGARO EXTENDS DOUBLE-DOUBLE STREAK TO SIX
Last time out, Izabella Zingaro recorded her sixth straight double-double – and eighth overall this season – notching 14 points and 10 rebounds at Robert Morris. Zingaro, who leads the Vikings averaging 16.2 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, has been averaging 19.1 points and 11.5 rebounds per game over the last six contests. Zingaro is one of just two Horizon League players with eight or more double-doubles on the year, while she is the only one to rank in the top-five in scoring (2nd-16.2) and rebounding (4th-7.3).
 
FEGAN OVER THE LAST THREE GAMES
Over the last three games, Macey Fegan has been a large part of Cleveland State's success, averaging 15.6 points and 9.3 rebounds per game during this stretch while playing 116 of 125 possible minutes. Fegan, who is averaging 9.1 points and 5.8 rebounds per game on the season, has tallied four double-doubles so far this season, while notching double-digit points 12 times.
 
LEONARD TOP-10 NATIONALLY IN STEALS
After 28 games played this season, Jada Leonard continues to lead the Horizon League and rank 14th nationally with 82 steals on the year. Leonard, who has recorded at least one takeaway in all but one game this season, is averaging 2.9 steals per game. Leonard's 82 steals on the year makes her the only Horizon League player with 80+ takeaways during the 2025-26 campaign, while she is one of just 16 Division I players with 80+ total steals.
 
…ZINGARO AMONG NATION'S BEST IN FIELD GOAL PERCENTAGE
Entering Thursday's game, Izabella Zingaro ranks 16th among Division I players with a .586 field goal percentage on the year. Zingaro, who has been perfect from the field twice this season, leads all league players in the category while also ranking sixth in the #HLWBB standings with a .796 free throw percentage.
 
VIKINGS FROM THE FREE THROW LINE
So far this season, the Vikings rank 11th nationally averaging 16.21 free throws made per game. For the year, Cleveland State has converted 454 free throws, leading all Horizon League teams. Individually, Izabella Zingaro is 144-for-181 from the charity stripe, while Colbi Maples (88-for-114) and Jada Leonard (87-for-104) have both added 80+ free throws each. For the year, Cleveland State has recorded 20+ free throws nine times, including four times in Horizon League games.
 
…CLEVELAND STATE ON THE BOARDS
So far this season the Vikings have held a major advantage on the boards, outrebounding their opponents 1,036-895. Cleveland State has combined for 40+ rebounds 10 times. As a team, the Vikings are averaging 37.0 rebounds per game, while Izabella Zingaro (4th-7.3) and Macey Fegan (10th-5.8) both rank in the top-10 individually among league players.
 
HEAD COACH CHRIS KIELSMEIER
The Vikings will be under the direction of eighth-year head coach Chris Kielsmeier, who owns a career head coaching record of 588-194. At Cleveland State, Kielsmeier owns a record of 172-78, with his 150th victory as a Viking coming in a 92-61 decision over Detroit Mercy last season. Under his guidance, Cleveland State has posted five 20-win seasons, including a program-record 30 wins during the 2023-24 campaign.
