Cleveland State Men’s Golf Set for Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational

Muncie, IN-The Cleveland State men's golf team is in action this weekend for its third of five fall tournaments. The Vikings are looking to build upon success from the first two events as the Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational kicks off on Saturday.

The event is hosted by Ball State University and will feature 14 total teams. Fellow Horizon League members Purdue Fort Wayne, Northern Kentucky, Wright State, Robert Morris and IU Indianapolis will join Cleveland State in the tournament field.

All six student-athletes on Cleveland State's active roster will compete this weekend. Brody Simms, Dillon Pendergast, Dominik Cosic, Ryan Dinan and Trace Gibson will make up the five-man lineup with Ben Scheeff set to compete as an individual.

Simms and Pendergast have started the season well with top five finishes in each of the first two fall events. The pair finished tied for third in this past weekend's Golden Grizzlies Intercollegiate with both players finishing under par for the event. Simms picked up his first collegiate victory in the season opening Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational.

The tournament will take place at Delaware Country Club which will play to a par of 70 and measure 6,438 yards for the event. Live scoring will be available on Scoreboard Live throughout the event.
