Dayton, OH-The Cleveland State men's golf team will tee it up for the final time this fall as the Vikings close the early portion of the 2025-26 schedule with the Dayton Flyer Invitational at NCR Country Club. The event is scheduled for 54 holes with two rounds scheduled for Monday and the third and final round scheduled for Tuesday.

Cleveland State returns to NCR for a familiar finish to its fall schedule. The Vikings will compete alongside 11 other teams with fellow Horizon League foes Oakland and Wright State also in the tournament field. Ball State, Butler, Marshall, Ohio and Toledo are among the additional teams along with host Dayton.

The Vikings are looking to end the fall campaign on a high note. Cleveland State has posted two top five team finishes in four fall events so far this season. Most recently the Vikings finished tied for third in the Tom Tontimonia Invitational hosted by CSU at Lakewood Country Club two weeks ago.

Cleveland State will feature its usual lineup for the event as Brody Simms, Dillon Pendergast, Dominik Cosic, Ryan Dinan and Trace Gibson will tee it up. Ben Scheeff will compete as an individual.
Simms is looking to finish off an excellent fall season. He has recorded top five finishes in three of the four fall events including a win at the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational and most recently a runner-up finish at the Tom Tontimonia Invitational.

Pendergast has also started strong with two top five finishes so far this season. Cosic and Gibson are each looking to build momentum after each posting their collegiate career low rounds at Lakewood Country Club two weeks ago. Cosic carded a 68 and Gibson finished with a 70, both in the second round of the Tom Tontimonia Invitational.

NCR Country Club will play to a par of 71 and measure 7,004 yards for the event. Play is scheduled to begin with an 8:45 a.m. shotgun start on both days. The Cleveland State lineup will tee off on holes 1-4 to begin the opening round. Live scoring will be available on Scoreboard Live throughout the event.
