Rochester, MI-The Cleveland State men's golf team competes for the second time in its opening week of the 2025 fall season as the Vikings travel to Michigan to compete in the Golden Grizzlies Intercollegiate hosted by Oakland University starting Saturday.
The Vikings are coming off a successful opener at the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational. Cleveland State finished eighth in the team race at 4-under par. Two student-athletes finished in the top five individually as
Brody Simms took home the individual title, his first collegiate victory, and
Dillon Pendergast finished tied for fifth.
The tournament features 12 teams including several Horizon League institutions. Purdue Fort Wayne, Green Bay, Wright State, IU Indianapolis, Detroit Mercy, and Northern Kentucky will all be in the field along with the Vikings and host Oakland.
The tournament will be contested on Oakland's Katke Golf Course which will play to a par of 72 and measure 7,273 yards. The tournament will consist of 54 holes over two days with round one scheduled for an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start on Saturday. The Vikings will start on holes 5-7 in the first two rounds. The final round will pair teams in the inverse order of the team standings through 36 holes.
The Cleveland State lineup will feature

Ryan Dinan and
