Huntington, WV-The Cleveland State men's golf team sits in 10^th place after the first two rounds of the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational. Cleveland State closed the day at 1-over par as a team with a 569 total. The Vikings carded an even par 284 in the first round and a 1-over 285 in the second round. Eastern Kentucky leads the event at 25-under 543.

Brody Simms sits tied for 12^th in the individual standings as one of two Vikings who finished the day in red figures. Simms carded matching scores of 2-under 69 on day one and sits at 4-under 138 for the tournament. Simms totaled eight birdies on the day including back-to-back birdies on holes 2 and 3 to get his second round off to a hot start. Simms is seven shots back of Marshall's Wes Lorish who leads the tournament at 11-under par.

Dillon Pendergast is 2-under for the tournament and in a tie for 22^nd place. Pendergast posted back-to-back rounds of 1-under 70 for a 140 total through the first 36 holes. Pendergast did most of his scoring on the front nine as six of his nine birdies came on the outward side.

Ryan Dinan is tied for 48^th place at 2-over 144. Dinan shot two 72s on day one. Dinan posted five birdies and an eagle on the day. He was 3-under early in the first round after eagling the par-5 eighth hole and following it up with birdies on the ninth and eleventh, but a triple bogey on no. 13 brought him back to even par.

Freshman Trace Gibson, playing in his first collegiate event, is tied for 77^th place at 6-over 148. Dominik Cosic is tied for 85^th place after posting 8-over 150 in the first 36 holes. Ben Scheeff, playing as an individual, is in 94^th place at 17-over 159.

The third and final round of the event is scheduled for Tuesday morning. Play is set to begin at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start. Cleveland State is scheduled to begin on holes 11-14 in the final round. Live scoring is available on Scoreboard Live throughout the event.
