INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Horizon League announced its #HLGolf All-Academic Teams Thursday, with Cleveland State senior Brody Simms earning a spot on the five-member team.
 
Earlier this month, Simms graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in finance, and is earning his first spot on the All-Academic Team.
 
On the course, Simms graduated as the program record holder for career scoring average (73.08) and single-season scoring average (71.2), which he set this season.
 
Throughout the year, Simms posted five top-five finishes, including a medalist performance at the Marshall Invitational and a fourth place showing at the 2026 #HLGolf Championships.
 
Simms was a three-time All-League honoree during his career, while he also earned the #HLGolf Sportsmanship Award this season.
