CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State golf team will open its fall slate this weekend, participating in the Virtues Intercollegiate hosted by Bowling Green. This weekend's event will run Saturday, August 29 and Sunday, August 30, and will be hosted at The Virtues Golf Club in Nashport, Ohio.
The Vikings will be one of 12 teams competing this weekend, including Horizon League opponents Wright State, Northern Illinois, Detroit Mercy, and RMU.
This will be the first time Cleveland State is part of the Virtues Intercollegiate field since 2023, when former Viking Andrew Kaye recorded a top-25 individual finish.
Cleveland State's lineup for this weekend will include
Troy Chapman,
Dillon Pendergast,
Cameron Stafford,
Dominik Cosic, and
Ryan Dinan, while
Gavin Leen and
Jackson Sommer will be playing as individuals.
This will mark the collegiate debut for Stafford and Sommer, while it will be the Cleveland State debut for Chapman.
The Vikings will play a five-event fall slate this year, including hosting the annual
Tom Tontimonia Invite October 5-6 in Westlake, Ohio.
