WESTLAKE, Ohio – The Cleveland State golf team returned to the course at their home tournament Monday, hosting the first two rounds of the
Tom Tontimonia Invitational.
Through 36 holes, the Vikings are T-8 as a team, while
Dillon Pendergast leads the team individually sitting T-9.
Pendergast posted a first-round 74, followed by a two-under par 69 in the second round to finish the day at one-over par. Pendergast went bogey-free in his second round, while also notching two birdies through the 18 holes.
Troy Chapman also sits in the top-20, as he is T-17 at two-over par. Chapman posted a one-under par first round 70, including four birdies.
Next for the Vikings is
Ryan Dinan who notched an even-par round of 71 with four birdies during the first 18 holes, and currently sits at four-over par after two rounds.
Cameron Stafford (T71) and
Dominik Cosic (T74) are next for the Vikings, while
Gavin Leen (T79) and
Jackson Sommer (84) round out the competitors for Cleveland State.
Through the first two rounds, the Vikings combined for 25 birdies, including a team-best six from Chapman.
The final round of the
Tom Tontimonia Invitational will take place tomorrow, with action set to begin at 9:00 a.m. at Lakewood Country Club in Westlake, Ohio.
