Huntington, WV-The Cleveland State men's golf team is set to open its season on Monday at the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational hosted by Marshall University at Guyan Golf and Country Club. This is the first of five fall tournaments for the Vikings.
Cleveland State makes a return trip to the tournament after finishing fourth in last year's event.
Brody Simms and
Ryan Dinan each posted top ten finishes and will be looking for more of the same to start the 2025 season.
All six student-athletes on Cleveland State's active roster will compete in the event.
Dillon Pendergast,
Dominik Cosic and
Trace Gibson join Simms and Dinan to complete the five-man lineup.
Ben Scheeff will compete as an individual. Gibson, a freshman from Sugarcreek, OH will be competing in his first collegiate event.
The Vikings will join 14 additional teams in the tournament field. Fellow Horizon League members Purdue Fort Wayne, Robert Morris and Youngstown State will also be participating in the event.
The tournament will consist of 54 holes with 36 holes scheduled for Monday with the final round set for Tuesday morning. The first round begins with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. Cleveland State will begin the day on holes 1-5. Live scoring will be available on Scoreboard Live throughout the event.
