Cleveland, OH-The Cleveland State men's golf team under the direction of head coach
Steve Weir announced its 2025 Fall Schedule. The Vikings will play a five-tournament schedule throughout September and October before breaking for the winter to prepare for the spring season. The Spring 2026 Schedule will be announced at a later date.
Highlighting the fall schedule is the
Tom Tontimonia Invitational hosted by Cleveland State. The tournament returns to its traditional venue this season at Lakewood Country Club in Westlake. Lakewood recently completed a renovation project that will showcase a new and improved 18-hole layout for this year's event. Pine Hills Golf Club hosted the event last season with Lakewood closed for the renovation. The tournament is scheduled for 54 holes on October 6
th and 7
th.
Cleveland State will also make return trips to several road tournaments this fall. The Vikings begin the season at the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational on September 8
th. Cleveland State set its 18-hole team tournament scoring record in last year's event carding a 275 in last year's second round. The Vikings also return to the Golden Grizzlies Intercollegiate (Oakland) on September 13-14 and the Dayton Flyer Invitational on October 20-21. Rounding out the schedule is a trip to the Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational on September 20-21.
The Vikings begin the 2025-26 campaign with five returning players and one newcomer. Two-time all-league senior
Brody Simms headlines the returning group along with juniors
Dillon Pendergast and
Dominik Cosic who saw significant time in the lineup last season. Freshman
Trace Gibson joins the team out of Sugarcreek, Ohio and will compete for the first time this fall.
