Last Game Out
The Vikings blanked St. Bonaventure 1-0 on Sunday for their second shutout of the year. With the game looking like it would end in a scoreless draw,
Mayra Sesmas scored her team-leading third goal of the year off a pass from
Sophia Cucchetti in the 88th minute.
Elyse Broderick, making her first start of the year in goal, recorded four saves.

About Morehead State
The Eagles enter the game with a 2-6-0 overall record and are coming off a 2-1 loss at home against Bellarmine on Thursday. Kennedy Baquero leads the offense with two goals and an assist. Hannah Burke and Carlie Thurmond are tops in assists with two apiece. Claire Cress has started every game in goal and has 45 saves with two shutouts.
Series History
This will be the first-ever meeting between these two teams.

With her two goals this past week,
Mayra Sesmas has 15 career strikes, which is tied with Kathryn Ramicone for fourth most all-time. The senior is presently four back of the program record of 19, currently held by Vickie Havas (2012-15) and Natalie Daniels (2008-11).

After collecting four points this past week, Sesmas moved into a tie for fifth along with McKenna Vento with 35 total points. She is currently 22 behind the program leader, Natalie Daniels' mark.
Head Coach Mark Sappington
Sappington is in his second season with the Green and White after being named the fourth head coach in program history prior to last season. In his first season, the team went 2-14-1 overall and 2-8-0 in the league.
Preseason Poll
The Cleveland State women's soccer team has been chosen to finish eleventh in the Horizon League for the 2025 season, as voted on by the league coaches.
Milwaukee took the No. 1 spot after receiving 10 first-place votes for 120 points. Northern Kentucky was second with 105 points, and Detroit Mercy was third with the final first-place vote for 98 points. The Vikings slotted in the final spot with 27 points.
