Indianapolis, IN-The Cleveland State men's golf team finished tied for tenth in the Don Benbow Butler Spring Invitational with the final round wrapping up on Tuesday. Cleveland State finished with a 33-over par team total which tied with Youngstown State. Host Butler won the event at 11-under par.
Brody Simms continued his strong play posting a 12
th place individual finish. Simms carded an even par round of 70 on the final day. Simms finished four shots back of Butler's Leo Zurovac who won the event at 4-under. Simms finished the day with two birdies and two bogeys for matching even par scores of 35 on both nines.
Andrew Kaye finished in a tie for 45
th place at 8-over par. Kaye closed with a 74 in the final round.
Mason Frazier finished in a tie for 76
th place at 14-over par. Frazier finished his tournament with a 77 in the final round.
Additional lineup scores for the Vikings included
Dominik Cosic finishing tied for 82
nd at 17-over par and
Dillon Pendergast posting a T-93 finish at 20-over.
Ryan Dinan tied for 89
th at 18-over,
Alex Anderson tied for 95
th at 22-over and
Ben Scheeff finished in 100
th place at 29-over par. All three competed as individuals.
Cleveland State is next in action at the NKU Spring Invitational next week Monday, April 7.
