BATAVIA, Ohio – The Cleveland State golf team wrapped up action at the NKU Jewell Invitational Tuesday, finishing seventh as a team out of the 14-team field.
Cleveland State's top finisher was
Brody Simms who placed T-9 after posting a one-under par round of 70 during his third and final round. Simms finished with a team-best 10 birdies on the week, including three during his final round on Tuesday.
Dillon Pendergast also posted a top-30 finish for the Vikings, placing T-26 after finishing with an even-par round of 71 on Tuesday. Pendergast tallied nine total birdies through the three rounds, including three in the final round.
Dominik Cosic (T58) and
Trace Gibson (T62) were the next two Vikings in the standings, while
Ryan Dinan placed T-65.
In addition,
Ben Scheeff (T72) and
Gavin Leen (T86) competed as individuals, including Leen making his CSU debut.
Cleveland State will now have a quick turnaround for the Wright State Invitational, which is slated for Sunday, April 12 and Monday, April 13.
