CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State golf team will participate in one of its final tune-ups of the 2026 spring season this weekend, taking part in the Wright State Invitational Sunday, April 12 and Monday, April 13.
This will be the fourth of six events for the Vikings this spring, and the second of four straight tournaments during the month of April.
Cleveland State will be one of 13 teams competing, including one of six Horizon League teams. The Wright State Invitational will be held at Heatherwoode Golf Club in Springboro, Ohio, and will feature two rounds beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Monday followed by a third round on Tuesday.
For the second straight week all seven Vikings will be in action, as the tournament format will be six to count four. The Cleveland State lineup will feature
Dominik Cosic,
Ryan Dinan,
Trace Gibson,
Dillon Pendergast,
Ben Scheeff, and
Brody Simms, while
Gavin Leen will be playing as an individual.
Through the first three tournaments this spring the Vikings have combined for five top-30 individual finishes, while the team has posted top-10 finishes in each of the last two outings.
Looking Ahead…
The Vikings will have one final tune-up at the Falcon Golf Intercollegiate (April 18), before taking part in the 2026 Horizon League Golf Championships April 25-27 in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida.
