SPRINGBORO, Ohio – The Cleveland State golf team opened up play at the Wright State Invitational Sunday, playing 36 holes at the Heatherwood Golf Course. Through the first day, the Vikings currently sit eighth in the team standings.
After two rounds of play,
Brody Simms sits T-4 at four-under par following rounds of 71 and 67. Simms combined for 10 birdies on the day, including six during his second round.
Dominik Cosic and
Dillon Pendergast are both T-58 at 10-over par through two rounds, combining for 10 birdies on the day.
Ryan Dinan (T64) and
Trace Gibson (T66) are the next two Viking placers, while
Ben Scheeff sits at T-71 and
Gavin Leen is solo 83.
Scheef, who tallied three birdies on the day, also had an eagle, notching a three on the par-five ninth hole during his opening round.
As a team, the Vikings combined for 33 birdies on the day.
The Vikings will play the final 18 holes of the Wright State Invitational tomorrow.
