The Cleveland State women's basketball team will close out regular season play on Saturday, March 1, traveling to Youngstown State for a 2:00 p.m. contest. Entering Saturday's game, the Vikings are 23-7 overall this season and 14-5 in Horizon League play, while Youngstown State is currently 11-18 on the year and 6-13 in league action.

Saturday's game will mark the 86th meeting between the two teams in program history, with Youngstown State owning a 46-39 advantage in the all-time series. Despite the edge for YSU, the Vikings have won five straight against the Penguins, including a 67-53 decision in the first meeting of the year.

Jordana Reisma during her time at Cleveland State, becoming the second active Viking to play in 100+ games in the Green & White. Reisma, who has played in every game of her collegiate career, has also appeared in the starting lineup during 65 of them.

Jordana Reisma continues to be one of the most efficient shooters among Division I players, entering Saturday's contest at Youngstown State with a .676 field goal percentage on the year. Reisma, who currently ranks third among all Division I players in field goal percentage, is shooting 167-for-247 on the year, while she currently sits at the top of the CSU Career Record Book with a .600 clip (389-648) for her career.

PERDUE NOTCHES BACK-TO-BACK 20-POINT PERFORMANCES
For the fifth time this season
Mickayla Perdue tallied back-to-back 20-point performances after finishing with 20 points in the win over Wright State. Perdue, who has 16 20-point efforts on the year, is currently averaging 19.8 points per game. Through 30 games played, Perdue ranks 12th nationally with 595 total points on the season.

Following the 20-point effort against Wright State last week,
Mickayla Perdue now ranks seventh on the CSU Single-Season Scoring List with her 595 total points on the year. Perdue is one of three players to hold multiple spots on the top-10 list after finishing sixth with her 607 points that she combined for last season, while she is just five points shy of notching back-to-back 600-point campaigns.

LEO PICKS UP 100TH CAREER START
After playing in her 100th career game at Cleveland State earlier this year,
Destiny Leo appeared in the starting lineup for the 100th time in the RMU game last weekend. Leo, who is tied for fifth in the CSU Record Book with 123 career games played, is also tied for sixth with 101 games started. Not only has Leo played in 123 career games, she is also averaging 31.0 minutes played per contest.

Destiny Leo continues to add to her career point total, entering Saturday's contest with 1,880 total points. After moving into second place on the CSU Scoring List earlier this season, Leo is now just 20 points shy of becoming the second Viking all-time to reach the 1,900-point plateau. So far this season, Leo is averaging 10.8 points per game, ranking 18th among #HLWBB players.

GUERREIRO ON THE BOARDS
Entering Saturday's contest,
Sara Guerreiro continues to be one of the best rebounders in the Horizon League, averaging 7.8 boards per game, with 233 total rebounds on the year. Of Guerreiro's 233 total rebounds, 193 are defensive boards, a mark that leads all #HLWBB players and ranks seventh in the CSU Single-Season Record Book. With just seven more defensive rebounds, Guerreiro would become the fifth Viking all-time to record 200+ defensive boards in a single-season.

The Vikings continue to be the top rebounding team in the league, averaging 38.3 boards per game through 30 games played. Cleveland State also holds a league-best +7.4 rebounding margin, and has outrebounded its opponent 24 times so far this year. Cleveland State's current rebounding margin of +7.4 sits at the top of the Single-Season Record Book, while the Vikings' 866 defensive boards so far this season ranks third.

CLEVELAND STATE RECORDS 20-WIN SEASON
With the 79-58 victory over Oakland in early February, the Vikings notched their 20th win of the 2024-25 campaign, marking the fourth straight 20-win season and the fifth over the last six years. Cleveland State became the third #HLWBB team to reach the 20-win plateau this season, while the Vikings enter Saturday's game with 23 total wins on the year, marking the fourth straight season with 23+ victories.

VIKINGS FROM THE FREE THROW LINE
Through 30 games played this season, the Vikings rank fourth nationally averaging 16.73 free throws made per game. For the season, Cleveland State has converted a league-best 502 free throws, including 20+ free throws during seven games this year. The 502 total free throws currently ranks fourth on the CSU Single-Season List, as one of just four teams all-time with 500+ made free throws in a campaign.

As a team, Cleveland State has had one of the more efficient offenses this season, leading the Horizon League and ranking 11th among Division I teams with a .476 clip from the field on the year. The Vikings have shot 50-percent or better during 10 games so far this season, including five times during #HLWBB play (at Wright State, at Detroit Mercy, at Milwaukee, Oakland, Wright State). Cleveland State's .476 clip from the field, currently sits at the top of the CSU Single-Season Record Book, while the 75.3 points per game scoring average ranks fourth.

GUERREIRO NAMED TO #HLWBB ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
For the second straight season, graduate student
Sara Guerreiro has earned a spot on the Horizon League All-Academic Team. Guerreiro, who graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Mechanical Engineering last spring, is currently pursuing her master's degree in the same field, holding a 4.00 grade point average. Guerreiro was one of five #HLWBB players named to the team.

CLEVELAND STATE SECURES #HLWBB QUARTERFINAL HOME CONTEST
After picking up a win at Purdue Fort Wayne earlier this season, the Vikings clinched a home game during the Quarterfinal round of the 2025 Barbasol Horizon League Basketball Championships. Quarterfinal action will take place on Thursday, March 6 with the opponent and game time still to be determined.

HEAD COACH CHRIS KIELSMEIER
The Vikings will be under the direction of seventh-year head coach
Chris Kielsmeier, who currently owns a career head coaching record of 564-183. At Cleveland State, Kielsmeier owns a record of 148-67, with his 100th victory as a Viking coming in a 95-41 decision over Chicago State last season. Under his guidance, Cleveland State has posted four 20-win seasons, including a program-record 30 wins during the 2023-24 campaign.
