The Cleveland State women's basketball team will close out its current two-game roadswing Saturday, traveling to Purdue Fort Wayne for a 2:00 p.m. contest. Entering the weekend, the Vikings are 20-6 overall this season and 11-4 in Horizon League play, while Purdue Fort Wayne is currently 20-5 on the year and 15-0 in league action.Â

THE CLEVELAND STATE/PURDUE FORT WAYNE SERIES
Saturday's game will mark the 18th meeting between the two teams, with Cleveland State owning a 15-2 advantage in the all-time series. The Vikings have won 11 out of the last 12 matchups against the Mastodons, and will be looking to split the season series between the two teams on Saturday.

Cleveland State enters Saturday's contest with an 11-4 record in Horizon League play this season, currently sitting in third place in the #HLWBB standings. Continuing the 10th week of league action, the Vikings are one of just three teams with 11+ #HLWBB wins on the year.
CLEVELAND STATE RECORDS 20-WIN SEASON
With last Saturday's 79-58 victory over Oakland the Vikings notched their 20th win of the 2024-25 campaign, marking the fourth straight 20-win season and the fifth over the last six years. Cleveland State became the third #HLWBB team to reach the 20-win plateau this season, while it marks the first time in program history that the Vikings have recorded four consecutive 20-win campaigns.
LEO MOVES INTO THIRD PLACE ON CSU SCORING LIST
After finishing with nine points on a trio of three-pointers at Northern Kentucky last time out,
Destiny Leo moved into third place on the CSU Scoring List, finishing the game with 1,843 career points. Leo, who is averaging 11.0 points per game on the year, needs just nine more points to move into second place on the all-time scoring list. Earlier this year, Leo became the first Viking since 2012 to reach the 1,800-point milestone, and is looking to become just the second Viking all-time with 1,900+ career points.Â

So far this season,
Destiny Leo has been one of the best three-point shooters in the Horizon League, recording 72 total three-pointers through 26 games played. For the season, Leo is shooting at a .442 clip from behind-the-arc, ranking second among league players. For her career, Leo has a CSU Program Record 296 three-pointers made, while she also sits at the top of the CSU Record Book with a .397 clip from behind-the-arc.Â
GUERREIRO NOTCHES DOUBLE-DOUBLE AT NKU
Last time out,
Sara Guerreiro recorded her fifth double-double of the season, recording 16 points and 12 rebounds at Northern Kentucky. Guerreiro, who leads the team averaging 7.9 rebounds per game, is also one of four Vikings to average double-digit points, entering Saturday's game averaging 10.9 points per game. All but one of Guerreiro's double-doubles have come during Horizon League play, while she is one of three #HLWBB players with five or more double-doubles on the season.Â
PERDUE NOTCHES 13TH 20-POINT GAME AGAINST NORSE
Mickayla Perdue recorded her 13th 20-point game of the season last time out, finishing right on the number at Northern Kentucky. Perdue, who leads all league players with her 13 20-point games on the season, also sits at the top of the league standings averaging 20.0 points per game. Seven of Perdue's 20-point performances have coming during #HLWBB play, including two of the last four outings.Â

After finishing with 20 points at Northern Kentucky last time out,
Mickayla Perdue now has 520+ points on the season, entering Saturday's game ranked 12th nationally with 521 total points. This marks the second straight season that Perdue has eclipsed the 500-point mark after finishing with 607 total points last year.Â
REISMA EFFICIENT FROM THE FIELD
Jordana Reisma continues to be one of the most efficient shooters among Division I players, entering Saturday's contest at Purdue Fort Wayne with a .679 field goal percentage on the year. Reisma, who currently ranks third among all Division I players in field goal percentage, is shooting 150-for-221 on the year, while she currently sits at the top of the CSU Career Record Book with a .598 clip (372-622) for her career.Â
CLEVELAND STATE FROM THE FREE THROW LINE
Through 26 games played this season, the Vikings rank fifth nationally averaging 16.88 free throws made per game. For the season, Cleveland State has converted a league-best 439 free throws, including 20+ free throws during six games this year. Against Detroit Mercy last week, the Vikings went 19-for-22 from the free throw line (.864), marking the fifth straight time that Cleveland State shot 85-percent or better.Â

As a team, Cleveland State has had one of the more efficient offenses this season, leading the Horizon League and ranking seventh among Division I teams with a .482 clip from the field on the year. The Vikings have shot 50-percent or better during nine games so far this season, including four times during #HLWBB play (at Wright State, at Detroit Mercy, at Milwaukee, Oakland). Individually, four Vikings are shooting 45-percent or better from the field on the year;

HEAD COACH CHRIS KIELSMEIER
The Vikings will be under the direction of seventh-year head coach
Chris Kielsmeier, who currently owns a career head coaching record of 561-182. At Cleveland State, Kielsmeier owns a record of 145-66, with his 100th victory as a Viking coming in a 95-41 decision over Chicago State last season. Under his guidance, Cleveland State has posted four 20-win seasons, including a program-record 30 wins during the 2023-24 campaign.
