CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland State women's basketball head coach
Chris Kielsmeier announced the addition of two players for the upcoming 2026-27 season, with
Addison Carr (Columbia, Missouri) and
Emma Pique (Barcelona, Spain) set to join the Vikings.
ADDISON CARR | 6-6 | CENTER
Carr, a 6-foot-6 center from Columbia, Missouri, joins the Vikings following a prep career at David H. Hickman high school, where she helped the team to a trio of District Runner Up finishes.
In addition, Carr played for Della Lamb AAU, averaging 10.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game.
Why CSU: "I chose Cleveland State because of the coaching staff, who were extremely welcoming and genuinely cared about the growth and success of their players. Cleveland is the place where I could unlock my full potential as an athlete, as well as receive an education that will set me up for success in life after basketball."
Kielsmeier on Carr: "We're excited to add Addison to our roster, she's a powerful interior presence with a great work ethic and a desire to improve. Addison embraces physical play and will fit perfectly into our culture of toughness and team-first mentality. Her ability to establish position and finish around the rim will bring valuable depth and physicality to our frontcourt."
EMMA PIQUE | 5-11 | GUARD
Pique, a 5-foot-11 guard from Barcelona, Spain, will be joining her sister Paula on the Viking roster. Pique started her collegiate career at Northwest College in Wyoming, helping the Trappers to a combined 25 wins so far.
As a freshman last year, Pique started 29 of 30 games played, averaging 9.0 points per game on a .409 field goal percentage. In addition, Pique averaged 3.8 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 1.5 assists per game during her rookie campaign.
So far this season, Pique is averaging 14.2 points per game, while shooting 46-percent from the floor. Pique is also averaging 2.2 rebounds, 3.4 steals and 2.1 assists per contest, and has started all nine games on the year.
Why CSU: "I chose Cleveland State because of the coaches, the style of basketball they play, the environment, and I love the culture and competitiveness of the program."
Kielsmeier on Pique: "We're thrilled to add Emma to our program. She is a quick playmaking guard who fits our system and brings a natural ability to create and score. Emma is a coachable, high-character player with a strong work ethic and valuable collegiate experience that will strengthen our backcourt."
