Columbus, OH-The Cleveland State fencing teams will be in action again for the second consecutive weekend as the Vikings travel to Columbus for the OSU Elite Invitational. The two-day competition will see Cleveland State fence eight dual meets starting on Saturday morning and continuing through Sunday afternoon.
The 13-team field features strong competition as Cleveland State will compete alongside Air Force, Denison, Duke, Harvard, North Carolina, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Penn, Penn State, Princeton, Wayne State, and the host Buckeyes.
Cleveland State is making its second trip to Columbus in the early part of the 2025-26 schedule. The Vikings posted a strong showing in the OSU Duals which kicked off the regular season schedule as the teams combined for five total victories on the day.
Rayllen Prafil Capaccio placed eighth in the OSU Open the day before in the women's epee bracket.
The competition takes place at OSU's French Field House. Admission is free for all spectators and live results will be posted to ohiostatebuckeyes.com at the conclusion of each round.
The event will also feature a live video broadcast through FencingTV.com and the Ohio State YouTube Channel. Fans can tune in throughout the day to follow along with the action.
Cleveland State begins the day in Round 3 on Saturday taking on Harvard at 11:00 a.m. The Vikings will fence in all three afternoon rounds to finish the day. The event continues Sunday with five rounds scheduled starting at 8:00 a.m.
