Columbus, OH-The Cleveland State fencing teams competed Sunday in the second day of the OSU Elite Invitational at Ohio State's French Field House.
Cleveland State showed improvement on the event's second day picking up three combined event victories with all three coming on the women's side.
The women's epee team of
Rayllen Prafil Capaccio and
Anna Klimenko picked up two victories on the day. The duo won 5-4 over Penn State and Denison. The women's epee squad of
Aubrey Testroet and
Samantha Way claimed the third event victory, a 5-4 win over Wayne State in the final match of the day.
Cleveland State will take an extended break before returning to competition in January at Notre Dame. The Vikings will compete two more times in the regular season before the CCFC Championship competition scheduled for late February in Granville, Ohio.
