CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Vikings remain atop the standings with 1,109 points after the second day of Magnus Cup. St. Bonaventure is in second with 923.5 points, and Binghamton is third with 916 points.
Liam Pearson placed fourth in 1-meter diving with a score of 267.20, and
Paxton Martinez was a spot back with a score of 251.40.
Cleveland State went first and second in the 200-yard medley relay to open the second night, led by the B-team of
Noah Greer,
Alex Cucu,
Justin Schneider, and
Jacopo Lanzo with a time of 1:29.90.
Daniel Lyngaas claimed the top spot in the 100-yard butterfly after touching in 47.47, while Schneider came in sixth with a time of 48.85.
The Vikings went fourth and fifth in the 400-yard IM with
Brock Wallace (3:59.59) and
Aidan Florio (4:01.09).
Cleveland State took the third through sixth spots of the 200-yard freestyle, led by Lanzo with a time of 1:38.57.
Tyler Schultze set his second Magnus Cup record time in the 100-yard breaststroke after finishing in 53.36. He also set the record for the 50-yard breaststroke with a split time of 24.72.
The 100-yard backstroke saw the Green and White go sixth and seventh with
Tanner Beck (50.39) and Greer (50.41).
The evening ended with a runner-up finish by the 800-yard freestyle relay of Lyngaas, Davillier, Greer, and Lanzo with a time of 6:39.32.
