INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Cleveland State is fifth with one day to go at the 2026 Horizon League Championship. Oakland went back on top of the standings with 581 points, IU Indy is second with 487.5 points, and Youngstown State is third with 315 points. Cleveland State has 273 points.
Daniel Lyngaas became the first Viking to reach the podium, placing third in the 100-yard butterfly after clocking the fourth fastest time in program history, 46.90.
Justin Schneider touched in 48.68 to give him 14th place.
In the 400-yard IM,
Brock Wallace (3:54.69) came in fourth, and
Aidan Florio (3:56.92) was a spot back. Wallace's time was the fifth fastest in Viking history.
Colton Stoecker (4:03.80) placed 12th and
Noah Lang (4:04.41) was 14th.
Jacopo Lanzo took fourth in the 200-yard freestyle after putting up the second-fastest time in program history, 1:36.60.
Noah Greer came in tenth after clocking the ninth fastest time in program history, 1:37.97.
Jaden Davillier took 14th after finishing in 1:39.15.
The 100-yard breaststroke saw
Tyler Schultze come in fourth, touching in 53.51.
Alex Cucu (54.51) finished tenth,
Gorkem Sulun (55.20) in 12th,
Nate Steiner (55.21) in 13th, and
Ahmad Abdalhak (55.72) in 14th.
Greer earned the tenth spot in the 100-yard backstroke after clocking a 49.07, which was the ninth fastest in program history.
Tanner Beck touched in 50.17 to come in 15th.
The night concluded with a fourth-place finish in the 400-yard medley relay as Greer, Schultze, Lyngaas, and Lanzo finished with the second-fastest time of 3:11.74.
