NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Cleveland State men's tennis team continued play at the Horizon League Individual Championship Saturday, with the doubles team of
Lincoln Battle and
Carl Gedlitschka advancing to the Semifinals of the Main Doubles Draw.
After getting a bye in their opening round match yesterday, Battle and Gedlitschka picked up an 8-7(2) victory over Southern Indiana in the quarterfinals, earning a matchup against Tennessee State in tomorrow's semifinals.
In singles, Gedlitschka and
Nico Jamison both picked up a consolation win, Gedlitschka over Morgan Woodson of Belmont and Jamison over Alexis Mauleout of Youngstown State.
Battle bowed out of the Main Singles Draw in the quarterfinals on Saturday, dropping a hard-fought three-set match against Belmont's Austin Yack.
