Last Game Out
Cleveland State emerged victorious 3-1 against Purdue Fort Wayne in a battle of the top two teams in the Horizon League. The Vikings tallied the only goal of the first half in the 42nd minute when Uzman Ramees, who was just subbed on less than a minute before, found the back of the net off a pair of passes from Peleg Armendariz and Matteo Correia.
 
Armendariz doubled the margin in the 51st minute with his team's leading fifth goal off a through ball from Ramees. Five minutes later, Ramees bagged his second of the game off a free kick from Fefo Granados to lead 3-0.
 
Purdue Fort Wayne broke up the shutout in the 87th minute with a free kick in the box after the Vikings were called for an illegal pass back. Ryan Poling made a season-best nine saves in goal.
 
A First for the Freshman
Ramees received his first Horizon League Offensive Player of the Week recognition after scoring two goals and adding an assist in the game against PFW. His first goal was the first of his career before assisting on the second and scoring the third.
 
Team Leaders
Armendariz leads the team in goals (5) and points (11), while Ramees and Josip Rimac are tops in assists with four. Ryan Poling has accumulated 43 saves to go along with four shutouts.
 
About the Jags
IU Indy comes into the game with a 5-7-3 overall record and a 2-4-1 mark in league games. The Jags are coming off a 2-1 home win over Detroit Mercy after being shutout in their previous three contests.
 
Stan Klaver leads the offense with four goals, while Youri Keijser and Bali Esquivel are tops in assists with three. Cameron Maung-Maung has started 13 games in goal, racking up 39 saves and three shutouts.
 
Series History
The Vikings hold a 7-3-2 advantage in the previous meetings and are unbeaten in the last eight games, including six straight wins. Last season, the Green and White won at home, 2-1.
 
Ubiparipovic Background
Sinisa Ubiparipovic enters his seventh year as the head coach at Cleveland State. In his six seasons, the Vikings are 42-40-14 overall (.510 winning percentage) and 26-20-8 (.545 winning percentage) in league play.
