CHICAGO, Ill. – The Cleveland State men's tennis team was back in action at the ITA Midwest Regionals Saturday, with the doubles team of
Lincoln Battle and
Carl Gedlitschka advancing to the Quarterfinals of the Main Doubles draw.
Battle and Gedlitschka improved to 3-0 on the weekend after picking up an 8-6 victory over a Notre Dame tandem that was ranked as the top seed in the doubles draw. The duo will now play in the quarterfinals tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. EST.
The Cleveland State tandem of
Tristan Stine and
Cole Chappell were also in the Round of 16 in the Main Doubles Draw, with the duo dropping an 8-4 match against a Western Michigan team.
In addition to the doubles draw, Battle was also in action in the Main Singles Draw Saturday, dropping a tough three-set decision in the Round of 32.
