CHICAGO, Ill. – The Cleveland State men's tennis team opened play at the ITA Midwest Regionals Thursday, with three Vikings picking up wins during the opening round of Qualifying Singles Draw play.
Nico Jamison,
Devin Boyer and
Cole Chappell were the three Vikings to earn opening round wins, Jamison over Youngstown State, Boyer against UIC and Chappell versus Northern Illinois.
Despite picking up straight-set wins during the first round, all three came up short in their second round matches.
Action at the ITA Midwest Regionals will continue tomorrow, with
Lincoln Battle set to begin play in the Main Singles Draw, along with three CSU doubles team set to compete in the Main Doubles Draw.
