TOLEDO, Ohio - Takima Keane and Destinee Blue each scored in double figures for the sixth time this season, but it would not be enough as the Cleveland State women's basketball team fell at Toledo, 81-42. The loss drops the Vikings to 3-5 on the season, while the Rockets improve to 6-3 on the year.

Keane and Blue each tallied 11 points Saturday afternoon, Keane also adding six assists and four steals and Blue adding six rebounds. Shalonda Winton posted a game-high 14 rebounds for CSU, marking her fourth double-digit rebounding game of the season.

Toledo got out to a 37-14 lead during the opening stanza, which included a 17-0 run that started at the 19:16 mark. Keane made a layup just 16 seconds into the contest for the first basket of the game, but the Rockets were then able to hold Cleveland State scoreless over the next 5:32 and allowed the CSU offense just 12 more points during the first 20 minutes of play.

The Vikings came out during the second half and posted back-to-back three-pointers from Honesty King and Keane and outscored the Rockets 14-6 over the next five minutes to bring the game to 46-28, but Toledo answered with an 11-0 run to once again extend their lead. The Rockets controlled play for the rest of the contest, coming away with the 81-42 victory.

The Rockets had four players score in double figures, including Andola Dortch who had a team-high 13 and Riley McCormick who tallied 12 points off of four three-pointers.

Cleveland State will now take a week off from competition until Tuesday, December 20 and Wednesday, December 21 when the Vikings participate in the Magnolia Classic hosted by Ole Miss. CSU will face Murray State at 6:00 p.m. EST on Tuesday and will then face the host Rebels on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. EST.
