DICKSON, Tenn. – The Cleveland State golf team was back in action Monday, playing 36 holes at the Austin Peay Intercollegiate. Through the first day of play, the Vikings sit ninth in the team standings.
Two Vikings sit in the top-30 individually after 36 holes, with
Dillon Pendergast sitting T-21 at one-over par, and
Brody Simms currently ranking T-28 at three-over par.
Dominik Cosic also has a top-50 standing, as he is currently eight-over par at T-48.
As a team, the Vikings combined for 22 birdies, including seven from Simms and six from Cosic. Simms, who shot a one-under par 71 during the second round, tallied five of his birdies on the back nine.
Cleveland State will close out play at the Austin Peay Intercollegiate tomorrow, with the final 18 holes set for a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m. (EST).
