HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Cleveland State golf team wrapped up play at the Wexford Intercollegiate Tuesday, finishing 13
th as a team in the first event of the spring season.
Individually,
Brody Simms finished T-14 following a 2-under final round of 70, moving up 11 spots from his first day standing. During the final round, Simms posted three birdies on the day, including two over his first four holes of play.
Ryan Dinan followed Simms in the standings with a T-38 finish following rounds of 73, 74 and 78, while
Dominik Cosic moved up 16 spots to finish T-55 after posting a 1-over par score of 73 during his final round of play.
Also competing for the Vikings were
Dillon Pendergast (T-67) and
Trace Gibson (T-74).
During the final round of play, the Vikings combined for 10 birdies, including three each from Simms and Cosic.
Cleveland State will be off from competition until late March, returning to action at the Austin Peay Intercollegiate (March 23-24).
