Cleveland State Women’s Tennis Opens Fall Slate At Horizon League Individual Championship

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's tennis team will open its 2025 fall slate this weekend, participating in the second annual Horizon League Individual Championship. The tournament will run Friday, September 26 through Sunday, September 28 and will be hosted by Youngstown State University.
 
This weekend's event will feature a 32-player Singles Draw and a 16-Team Doubles Draw, with the winner from both brackets earning an entry into the ITA Conference Masters Championship, which will be hosted November 6-9 in San Diego, California.
 
Friday and Saturday will include two rounds of singles and one round of doubles, while Sunday's action will feature the singles final along with the doubles semifinals and final.
 
This marks the first of four tournaments for the fall campaign, including the annual Viking Invitational which Cleveland State will host October 10-12 inside the Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion.
